Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Empori (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Empori. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.

3. What Empori is

Empori is a platform that helps neighbors find and arrange barter — trading skills and services without money. Empori is not a party to any trade, does not vet users, and does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or completion of any exchange. All trades are arranged and carried out solely between users, at their own risk.

4. Your content and conduct

You are responsible for the posts, messages, images, and ratings you submit. You agree not to post content that is illegal, fraudulent, harassing, hateful, infringing, or that offers prohibited or regulated goods or services. You grant Empori a limited license to host and display your content for the purpose of operating the Service.

5. Trades, taxes, and disputes

You are solely responsible for evaluating trade partners, agreeing on terms, and meeting any legal or tax obligations that may arise from a trade. Empori does not mediate disputes between users and provides ratings and reporting tools only as a convenience.

6. Ratings and reports

Ratings and reports must be honest and based on real interactions. We may review reported content and remove posts or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your profile. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that create risk for other users.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Empori is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from trades arranged through the Service.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
